The Las Vegas Raiders just lost three players for quite some time, all on the same day.

First, it was star tight end Darren Waller and star receiver Hunter Renfrow making it to the injured reserved list, who will both be out for approximately four games now, maybe more.

Then, it was starting outside linebacker Blake Martinez retiring so unexpectedly.

The Raiders just lost three players in one day, two of who will be back of course. That cannot be a good look.

As for Martinez, I understand the retirement decision. The NFL is a dangerous, physical game. So if it had anything to do with a situation we are all very familiar with, I understand.

He also wants to start doing other things. At least, that's what I took from his announcement.

Martinez finished with over 700 tackles in his career. He also finished with 22 pass deflections, four forced fumbles, and four interceptions, all in seven years.

I wish nothing but the best for Martinez in whatever he continues to do in life, and congratulations.
