Logan Wilson sends one final message to Bengals fans after being traded to Cowboys
Wilson pens a goodbye to Cincinnati and its fans.
Logan Wilson is officially with the Dallas Cowboys after being traded away from the Cincinnati Bengals, and the 29-year old linebacker shared a heartfelt goodbye to Bengals fans and Cincinnati.
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Wilson wrote in his post to Instagram. “When I was drafted here over five years ago, I never could have imagined the goodness that would come from it. This city, this organization, these coaches, the fans, and everyone that came into our life changed me in ways I could never put into words. Nothing prepares you to move across the country away from everything you’ve ever known. Everyone always told us there was something special about the city, and I can attest that it’s real. You guys allowed a guy from a small town to come in here, make a name for himself and play in front of some of the best fans in the NFL. For my family and I, this felt like home from day one. We couldn’t have imagined landing anywhere else.”
Logan Wilson reflects on time with Bengals
Wilson was drafted in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, a class of rookies that would change the Bengals for the next few years. Joe Burrow and Tee Higgins were the club’s two picks leading up to him. That offseason helped spark a run to the Super Bowl in 2021, which Wilson also touched on in his post.
“During my time here, I was so proud to be a part of the growth the city deserved as a little kid,” Wilson wrote. “You always dreamt about going to the Super Bowl. When I came to Cincinnati, I did so with the goal of making it there. During the 2021 season, that dream came true. Although we came up short, those are memories that will be cherished forever by myself and everyone involved.”
