The Los Angeles Chargers just suffered a terrible loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, 63-21, which saw the team down by 49-0 at the half. That is unacceptable, and while Brandon Staley should have been fired 20 games ago, and some would say he should have never been hired, he was let go on Friday morning.
The Chargers also let go of Tom Telesco, their general manager. Now, it's time for a new regime, but first, they have to pick the interim for who will replace those guys in 2023.
According to the Chargers team Twitter account, the team named Giff Smith interim Head Coach and JoJo Wooden interim General Manager.
JoJo Wooden was the Director of Player Personnel, and Giff Smith was previously the linebackers coach, much like the Raiders did with Antonio Pierce, and that obviously worked well for them on Thursday Night Football.
