It sounds like the Miami Dolphins have survived their first injury scare of 2026 unscathed
Crisis averted, Miami Dolphins fans.

Let this serve as our latest reminder to take deep breath and slow down. Yesterday’s minicamp reports had a discouraging update — offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer was assisted off the practice field on a cart. The cart is a dreaded omen of bad news in the NFL. But not always. And especially in the summer months. Head coach Jeff Hafley gave us an update this morning on Salyer’s status. And the cart, it turns out, was much ado about nothing.
Jeff Hafley provides a promising update on Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer after Wednesday’s injury scare

“(Salyer) is doing okay. I don’t think you’ll see him out there today. But I do not think it will be anything long-term…we have one more week to go (before the break) so there’s a good possibility that — I wouldn’t say ‘good’, I would say there is a possibility that he’ll be out next week but maybe not.”

Never trust a June ‘cart’ report. Sometimes, the news is very bad. But many times, the cart gets broken out as a matter of convenience and to aid the player as much as possible. There have been instances of players getting carted off and then practicing the following day before. It doesn’t sound like Salyer is that lucky. But it does sound like any of the worst case scenarios that imaginations conceived yesterday have also been avoided. And, accordingly, a key depth piece of the Miami Dolphins’ offensive line should (hopefully) be back soon before long. Crisis averted, indeed.
