The Miami Dolphins are paying up for LB Jordyn Brooks’ services for three more years. One of his former teammates just gave him the ultimate endorsement.
The Miami Dolphins put the finishing touches on their final big contract of the offseason this morning, agreeing to terms on a three-year extension for All-Pro linebacker Jordyn Brooks.
The negotiation lingered throughout the offseason but ultimately wraps a week before the start of training camp. And it will ensure that Brooks plays several more seasons in South Florida. One of his former teammates from his first year in Miami is fired up to see Brooks’ effort rewarded. And, in the process of shouting out Brooks and the team, that same teammate offered the ultimate endorsement.

Armstead overlapped with Brooks for just one season in Miami in 2024. That season, which was Armstead’s last and Brooks’ first in Miami, didn’t go the way that anyone had hoped after Miami went 11-6 the year before.
But Armstead knows what NFL greatness looks like. He’s one of the best tackles of his generation of NFL players. And he shared the the field with a number of standout stars, too. Some of Armstead’s best teammates in New Orleans included Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara, Cameron Jordan, Demario Davis, Max Unger, and Ryan Ramczyk.
He played with De’Von Achane, Aaron Brewer, Tyreek Hill, and others in Miami, too. The man knows what great football players look like. Being called ‘the ultimate pro’ from yet another ‘ultimate pro’ is as good of an endorsement as you can get.
There was little doubt on whether or not paying Brooks was a good idea this offseason while it lingered on the table. But now the deed is done — and Armstead seems to be as glad to see it as the rest of us.
