One outrageous 2026 Miami Dolphins prediction has the team landing in some of the rarest company in NFL history
There are questions about the Miami Dolphins, yes. But this? Perhaps a bridge too far.
The 2026 Miami Dolphins are a team that faces a lot of questions.
And, because of the team’s youth movement and all of the new pieces, answers are hard to come by. Confidence in what this will ultimately look like is low. It could be a tough year. But heck, it could also be awesome. But as the NFL’s regular season creeps closer, more of those predictions are going to start popping up in a new way: record predictions. And we already have our first doozy — which places the Miami Dolphins in some of the rarest (bad) company in NFL history.
USA Today’s woeful Miami Dolphins 2026 NFL prediction
One win. One. I mean, come on now.
We’ve completely jumped the shark with the Miami Dolphins narratives in the grand scale. On one hand, I get it. Unknown is usually scary. And it certainly doesn’t breed confidence. But a one win season is a level of horrid that’s usually seen across the NFL. There have been just 15 teams since the schedule expanded to 16 games in 1978 to finish their season with one or fewer wins. And TWO of those teams, the Colts and Oilers, had it happen to them during the strike-shortened season in 1982.
The Dolphins have more talent on this roster than the one then went 5-11 with back in 2019. And while the schedule looks challenging, the teams Miami faces are going to have their own hardships and injuries. So sure. pick the Dolphins to be bad this season if you’d like. But one win? Nah.
