How to watch Minnesota Vikings kick off 2026 season against the Green Bay Packers
This is the second time in Kevin O’Connell’s tenure as Minnesota Vikings head coach that they will open the season at home vs. Green Bay Packers.
The Minnesota Vikings are finally set to return to the field on Sunday afternoon, as they take on the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium.
It’s a massive game for a multitude of reasons. Head coach Kevin O’Connell is entering his fifth season as the head coach, and is still searching for that elusive first playoff win. In trying to get that, he’s turning to his fourth opening day starting quarterback in Kyler Murray.
The real question here with the Vikings is whether or not this will end up working the way we all think it could. Murray was released from the Cardinals, and is being paid nearly $40 million by Arizona to play for the Vikings. Now, it’s a complicated reason why they let him go, and it’s not because Murray isn’t talented.
It’s the most intriguing thing about Sunday afternoon’s game, and you won’t want to miss it.
