The Minnesota Vikings have elevated running back Myles Gaskin and safety Bobby McCain from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
The Vikings chose to release Gaskin earlier this week and sign tight end Robert Tonyan from the practice squad. The move was likely due to wanting to protect Tonyan from being signed off the practice squad by another team. Gaskin has been activated once already before signing onto the main roster.
McCain has been activated once this season in week one against the New York Giants. Like Richter, McCain was mainly used on special teams but did play three snaps in week one. Having extra flexibility on the back end will be important against a New York Jets passing attack.
The Vikings and Jets kick off at 8:30 a.m. CST.
