The Minnesota Vikings are 3-0 going into their second home game of the season against the Miami Dolphins.

Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Vikings struggled mightily once Justin Jefferson left with an ankle injury. The thing with the Vikings is how conservative they have been with Jefferson. He missed seven games with a hamstring strain. They would rather have him miss an extra game now than have it happen again and miss more games.

How does the injury report look now after two days? Well, things have certainly evolved.

Observations

  • Two consecutive practices without Justin Jefferson isn’t much of a surprise. The VIkings have historically been conservative when it comes to him and injuries. Will he play on Sunday? My guess would be no.
  • Jones didn’t have a designation on Thursday, which is a great sign.

Observations

  • Douglas is much more unlilely to play now that he’s missed two full days of practice.
  • DeVon Achane is also going to miss the game, as the Dolphins put him on injured reserve with a torn ACL earlier this week.
  • Underrated addition to the injury report: the long snapper. Never great to see an aspect of your special teams operation be injured. However, still practicing in any capacity is a good sign.
