The New Orleans Saints are making a major change on their coaching staff. Dennis Allen will remain as head coach, but the staff below him is expected to endure a shake-up.
According to multiple sources, the Saints are firing offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr.
The Saints are also moving on from offensive assistant Bob Bicknell and wide receivers coach Kodi Burns.
New Orleans' offense has been very inconsistent over the past three seasons. The first half of the 2023 campaign with Derek Carr was not smooth whatsoever, and Carmichael receives plenty of blame there.
This is Dennis Allen's last chance at building a winner out of the Saints, and it seems he felt that he had a better chance of that without Carmichael.
