The NFL season is like an 18-wheeler flying down the highway. It's coming, whether you like it or not.

And on Friday, the league released the offseason workout schedule for every team and the Philadelphia Eagles plan to take the field for the first time on April 24.

According to NFL Football Operations, OTA practices go in three phases. In the first phase, sessions are focused strictly on conditioning and rehabbing. The second phase address includes individual and specific team drills, but no sessions where the offense goes against the defense. The final phase is when seven-on-sevens and full team drills can happen, but no contact can occur.

The full workout schedule for the Eagles is the following: April 24, May 30, June 1-June 2, June 5-June 6, and June 8.

Differing from other teams, the Eagles will not have a minicamp, joining the Cincinnati Bengals as the only teams that forego the tradition.

But what these offseason workouts will allow the Eagles to do is get free-agent signings like Rashaad PennyGreedy WilliamsNicholas MorrowTerrell Edmunds, and Justin Evans acclimated to life as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Additionally, rookies drafted in April's NFL Draft will have an opportunity to get their feet wet, easing into the NFL waters, before teams are full speed again come NFL training camp.
