Mock drafts are over, right? Not so fast, my friend. The 2026 NFL Draft has concluded for the Philadelphia Eagles and the rest of the league, but that only shifts eyes to 2027’s rookie class.

One way-too-early 2027 NFL mock draft had the Eagles making multiple major additions to their defense of the future.

Eagles’ picks in 2027 NFL mock draft

In Travis May’s way-too-early three-round mock draft, the Eagles landed some impact pieces for their defense. Check out their selections below.

23. Philadelphia Eagles: Damon Wilson, EDGE, Miami (FL)

“Damon Wilson has already been the best edge rusher for both Georgia and Missouri over the last two seasons. Now he’ll likely be the best pass-rushing talent for Miami this year. Wilson is a former five-star recruit with ridiculous burst and a build that’s looking more like the perfect NFL prototype every season. He tallied eight sacks last season with nearly 60 pass-rush pressures. If he does that again with Miami, he’ll be a first-round lock.”

Wilson has the potential to be a top ten selection in next year’s class. That being said, with a projected impressive quarterback and wide receiver class, some other positions could slide down the board a bit.

Wilson at 23rd overall would be an awesome outcome for Howie Roseman’s team. He’s had proven production at multiple landing spots already and is a pressure machine.

The new Hurricane may be next in the long line of EDGE rushers taking in the first round from Miami’s defense. after transferring from Mizzou. Love this selection and value for the Eagles.

55. Philadelphia Eagles: Koi Perich, S, Oregon

Safety was one of the Eagles’ biggest needs in this year’s draft, and they did not address it. Accordingly, they may look to acquire another veteran option in free agency.

Even then, the long-term future of the position has a ton of pressure on Andrew Mukuba. Adding Perich in next year’s draft would create depth and potential starting ability due to his athletic profile and playmaking ability.

He didn’t produce as much as expectations predicted last season, but he joins an ultra-talented group with the Ducks who can probably get the most out of him in 2026.

The Eagles did not pick in the third round of the mock draft due to the Jonathan Greenard trade with the Minnesota Vikings.
