The Bucs have a tough challenge to avoid a brutal 0-3 start to the season.
The 2026 season has not started off well for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After dropping a mistake-filled 33-27 contest on the road to Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, they laid an absolute egg in their home opener last Sunday, losing 23-19 to the hapless Cleveland Browns. Deshaun Watson eclipsed 230 yards passing and outdueled Baker Mayfield on the day.
It’s bad enough to go 0-2 and still hope to make the playoffs, something the numbers say is a bad omen, but the Bucs can ill afford to continue piling up losses. The task to get off the schneid will be a tough one on Sunday, as the Bucs host the Minnesota Vikings in the late games window.
The Vikings have started off the season strong with two big NFC North wins. They rallied with Carson Wentz under center to defeat the Green Bay Packers 39-22 in the opener. Last week, they shut down the Chicago Bears’ explosive offense in a 9-3 win.
That’s not good news for a Bucs offense that struggled to score points against the Browns last week. And starting quarterback Kyler Murray, who was hurt and exited the Vikings’ win over the Packers, is expected to be back.

So, how many people will get to watch this game locally? Quite a few in Florida and Minnesota and surrounding northern states as it turns out. 506 Sports put out the Week 3 broadcast map, and the Bucs and Vikings have a very wide map in the northern states.
The game will be shown through the vast majority of Florida excluding part of southeast Florida, as well as southern Georgia. All of Minnesota, North and South Dakota, and parts of Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska, Montana, and Wyoming all will get the game. The Houston, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Boston/New England regional areas will also get the game.
