Kay Adams uses Derrick Henry’s Ravens comments to bait Titans fans into feeling disrespected
Tennessee Titans fans are feeling some kind of way after hearing some comments from Derrick Henry this week.
Tennessee Titans fans are feeling disrespected by former franchise great running back Derrick Henry this week.
But it’s not entirely Henry’s fault.
Actually, it’s not his fault at all.
Henry, who is entering his third season with the Baltimore Ravens after spending the first eight years of his career with the Titans, was asked by Adams if he wants to finish his career in Baltimore.
“When I’m done playing, I want to be done playing here,” said Henry. “So when I hang it up, Baltimore will be the last place I want to be.
That sounds like Henry doesn’t want to play for a third team, right? He wants to finish his playing career with the Ravens.
But that’s not how the tweet from Adams came across.
Henry didn’t say anything about “retiring as a Raven.”
Many players who became legends with one franchise but finished their careers with another will sign a one-day contract to retire as a member of their original organization. Nothing about Henry’s comments hinted at what his plans are for any of that.
I understand Titans fans getting a little heated over the tweet, but I don’t think Henry’s comments meant what Adams’ tweet made them seem to mean.
