Former Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry traded the two tone blue for dark purple after signing a two-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens this week.
Henry was introduced to the media in Baltimore on Thursday and he immediately had a message for his critics.
The former Alabama star, who turned 30 earlier this year, was asked what he has to say to folks who question how much he has left in the tank due to his age.
"Tell them to keep watching," said Henry in response.
In 2022, Henry rushed for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns. He wasn't quite as productive in 2023, rushing for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns, but his yards per carry was still in line with what it was in 2022 (4.2 yards per carry in 2023 compared to 4.4 yards per carry in 2022).
It's unlikely that Henry will ever return to the level he was at in 2020 when he rushed for 2,027 yards and 17 touchdowns. But he should still continue to be an above average running back for at least the next couple of seasons.
