I figure that there's no better, or more efficient, way to get to know the final roster than evaluating each player with a three-word description.
So, that's what I did below.
NOTE: For the purpose of this exercise, four key starters who are technically on the Titans' Reserve/COVID-19 list and not the active roster are included. OL David Quessenberry was "cut" to keep the list at 53.
Quarterback
- Ryan Tannehill: the downfield assassin
- Logan Woodside: safe, but unexplosive
Running Back
- Derrick Henry: running toward Canton
- Khari Blasingame: reliable, versatile fullback
- Mekhi Sargent: bowling ball rookie
Wide Receiver
- Julio Jones: an all-time great
- A.J. Brown: RB playing receiver
- Josh Reynolds: Is he healthy?
- Chester Rogers: smooth and fast
- Nick Westbrook-Ikhine: big and versatile
- Cameron Batson: Coaches love him.
Tight End
- Anthony Firkser: a third-down machine
- Tommy Hudson: improved during camp
Offensive Line
- Taylor Lewan: no help needed
- Rodger Saffold: athletic, violent mauler
- Ben Jones: manages protection calls
- Nate Davis: getting paid soon
- Ty Sambrailo: probably a starter
- Dillon Radunz: rough Training Camp
- Kendall Lamm: moonlight standup comedian
- Aaron Brewer: reliable center depth
- Corey Levin: back, back again
Outside Linebacker
- Bud Dupree: He destroys quarterbacks.
- Harold Landry: production needs improvement
- Rashad Weaver: rookie with potential
- Ola Adeniyi: explosive and versatile
- Derick Roberson: Do something, please.
Inside Linebacker
- Rashaan Evans: needs to rebound
- Jayon Brown: playing for $$$
- David Long Jr.: perhaps too aggressive
- Monty Rice: small but feisty

- Kevin Byard: rebound season incoming
- Amani Hooker: Pro-Bowl potential, perhaps
- Matthias Farley: trusted veteran depth
- Bradley McDougald: great preseason performances
- Dane Cruikshank: rarely not hurt
- Brady Breeze: work to do
Specialist
- P Brett Kern: uncharacteristically bad preseason
- K Sam Ficken: earned the job
