If you thought it was a bit before after the Philadelphia Eagles had invested so much in Georgia players in the 2023 NFL Draft, you have to assume Howie Roseman just has eyes for Georgia players now.

After losing their starting running back in Miles Sanders in free agency, the Eagles had a hole of sorts to address in the draft.

Instead of spending a valuable pick on a position that doesn't have much value, the Eagles instead made the very smart decision to make a trade for a quality player with a team that had no leverage.

Lions running back D'Andre Swift is heading to the Eagles to join a surprising number of his former Georgia teammates. The best part about this? The compensation for the Eagles.

The Eagles just landed a running back with 18 career touchdowns and 156 receptions over three years for a fourth-round pick in 2024 and a swap of seventh-round picks.

How does Howie Roseman do this?

When you really break this deal down, seventh round picks mean very little from a value standpoint. As for picks in the fourth, there isn't a back available in that round next season that can do what Swift does.

This was a no-brainer for the Eagles. Philly somehow found a way to keep winning the draft, and their chances of making it back to the Super Bowl in 2023 just keep getting better.
