If you follow Philly sports then you know exactly what is going on right now. The Philadelphia Phillies are in the World Series against the Houston Astros, as we speak, while the Philadelphia Eagles are in Houston beating up the Texans. The coincidence is unreal.
So, after a hard-fought battle with the Texans, in a game that was closer than what most of us expected, the Eagles' players had to unwind for a bit.
What better way to do that than to watch game five of the World Series in the locker room?
Yes, the baseball game was on in unison with the Eagles game. The game against the Texans just so happened to finish first, you know, because baseball games take forever.
While the Phillies didn't end up winning, and actually lost by one, you love to see a whole bunch of guys, most of them not from the Philly area, root on another pro team from that area.
The support from the city and the professional sports teams in it is unreal, and I don't think that will change anytime soon. Hopefully, the Phillies players are watching the Eagles in the Super Bowl in February.
