The Pittsburgh Steelers got a first-round talent in the second round by selecting Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver George Pickens with the No. 52 overall pick on Friday night.

Pickens is a gifted wide receiver who just needs to stay healthy to make a major impact in the NFL. If he lives up to his potential, he’ll be one of the biggest steals in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Aside from Pickens’ issues staying healthy (which includes a torn ACL), he also ran into some on-field trouble during his time at Georgia.

As a true freshman in 2019, Pickens got in a massive fight during the Bulldogs’ win against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. He was suspended for the first half of the SEC Championship game the following week as a result.

Check it out.

It’s up to you to decide if you view this as a negative or a positive. It’s certainly not ideal. But it’s also nice to see some passion from a player who will be facing some physical cornerbacks in the AFC North over the next several years.
