Just before the start of the 2025 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles took care of some very important business.

The Eagles announced on Monday that they agreed on a four-year contract extension with center Cam Jurgens that keeps him in Philadelphia through 2029. ESPN's Adam Schefter added that it's a four-year, $68 million extension with $39.4 million guaranteed.

This makes Jurgens the second highest paid center behind Kansas City Chiefs star Creed Humphrey, but the Eagles lineman officially has the most guaranteed money at the center position.

And immediately after the news, Jason Kelce took to social media to congratulate his former teammate.

"Holy Shit, Congrats to the big man Beef Jurgy!! @jurgyco about to sky rocket. Most guaranteed money for a center, Big Extension, yuge! Happy for the big man, deserves every penny!," Kelce wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Kelce actually played a large part in the Eagles drafting Jurgens during the 2022 NFL Draft, having done his research on centers in that draft class. For two seasons, Jurgens then got to work alongside Kelce and was in the perfect position to take over when Kelce announced his retirement following the 2023 NFL season.

It's clear Kelce was right about Jurgens!
