The Los Angeles Rams have had some shakeups along their offensive line over the last few seasons, but are poised to have their best season and lineup yet in 2025. Part of that is the steady play of their tackle duo in left tackle Alaric Jackson and right tackle Rob Havenstein.

Pro Football Focus' Zoltan Buday put together a list of the 32 best offensive tackles, and both Alaric Jackson and Rob Havenstein made the list.

Alaric Jackson has been a rock steady presence at left tackle that has stabilized the Rams' offensive line. Jackson came in 19th overall in PFF's rankings, finishing as the 14th-overall left tackle in their rankings.

"Despite missing the first two games of the season due to a suspension, Jackson broke out in a contract year. And the Rams rewarded him with a new contract.

After earning PFF overall grades of 64.1 and 66.6 in the previous two seasons and ranking outside the top 30 in both years, Jackson finished the 2024 campaign with an 18th-ranked 78.4 PFF overall grade. His 4.5% pressure rate allowed was also a career high and ranked 18th at the position."

Right tackle Rob Havenstein was right behind him at 28th overall, and ninth overall among right tackles.

"The 33-year-old Havenstein's best years are probably behind him. Despite earning an 80.0-plus PFF overall grade in three out of four seasons between 2018 and 2021, the Wisconsin product has failed to reach that threshold since.

In 2024, he recorded a 75.8 PFF overall grade — his second-lowest mark over the past five seasons and the 25th-ranked figure among offensive tackles. Havenstein remains among the better run-blocking offensive tackles after posting a 79.6 PFF run-blocking grade in 2024 to rank 13th among offensive tackles."

While I personally believe some of these rankings are contentious, it's nice to see this duo receive the recognition they deserve. Alaric Jackson has been an underrated cog for the Rams' offense the past two seasons, and it's important to see him earn these honors as a former UDFA.

The Rams will have to find their right tackle of the future soon, but for now, their tackle room seems set with these two bookends.
