Philadelphia Eagles legendary center Jason Kelce has been retired for one year, but can't seem to stay away from the NovaCare Complex.
According to NBC Sports' Dave Zangaro, Kelce was spotted at OTAs on Wednesday.
"Jason Kelce is hanging out with the offensive linemen group at today’s practice. The Eagles’ retired legend is still around quite a bit," Zangaro said.
Kelce opened up during last year's OTAs about why he still lingers around the Eagles' practice facility.
"I mean, part of it is just getting a free lift down at NovaCare [Complex]," Kelce said. "I've gotten accustomed to going down there. I love going down there. It keeps me involved with it, whether it's being around the guys, being around the coaches, [keeping] my mind in the game. What teams are doing to try and prepare for this coming season. The game is always evolving, and I think in order to stay knowledgeable about it, you have to stay involved. For me, I kinda get a two-fer. I get to be able to work out and poke my head around a little bit."
While Kelce has made it clear that he has zero plans to unretire or even coach, he vowed to make himself available to help his former teammates and rookies.
"I'm here to help in any way I can with all these guys," Kelce said. "I can also offer anyone coming into Philadelphia for the first time, my thoughts on the city, where to be at, wherever your vibes are. I can help shed light on that and what it's like to play in Philadelphia. I'm gonna try to help anybody, coaches, players, any way I can."
Cam Jurgens did an excellent job taking over for Kelce last season, earning a Pro Bowl selection for his performance. This past April, the Eagles drafted guard/center Drew Kendall out of Boston College, who is getting a unique opportunity to learn from two of the best in the game, with Kelce still bopping around.

Just days before the start of the 2025 NFL Draft, rumors began circulating that the Philadelphia Eagles were planning to trade tight end Dallas Goedert that weekend. Even Goedert himself thought his time in Philadelphia was coming to an end. “There were definitely days that were filled with emotion,” Goedert said during OTAs. “Just kind […]
