Notre Dame football is off to a strong start in the 2026 recruiting class, currently holding seven commitments. The Irish have changed their ideology about recruiting, and have opted to be a lot more selective and patient when taking commitments. This staff has, and will continue to maintain a strong board.

During this past week, four very talented players were added to the 2026 board with new offers. Here are the new Notre Dame targets to know.

WR Bubba Frazier – Savannah (Ga.) Benedictine Military School

Considered a four-star recruit on the 247Sports Composite ranking, but don’t let the size of Frazier fool you. While he may only be 5-10 and 165 pounds, Frazier is dangerous with the football in his hand. He finished the 2024 season with 46 receptions for 753 yards and five touchdowns. Frazier also had another 604 rushing yards and eight scores on the ground, while also returning punts for Benedictine Military School.

TE Gavin Mueller – Wheaton (Ill.) South Elgin

Mueller is one of the more unique stories of anyone in the 2026 class. He is a basketball player that just finished up his first season of football, but gained legitimate momentum last offseason while camping at various schools (including Notre Dame). An impressive athlete, the 6-5, 230-pound pass catcher currently holds a long list of offers that includes the Irish, Florida, Texas A&M, and Ole Miss among many others.

LB Calvin Thomas – Cypress (Texas) Cy Ranch

If you take a look at recruiting rankings for Thomas, you aren’t going to be impressed. In fact, outlets like 247Sports haven’t even rated him yet. Despite that, the 6-3, 210-pound linebacker is one of the fast riders in the 2026 class, reeling in offers from Notre Dame, Texas, Michigan, LSU, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Ole Miss among many others. That comes after a junior season where Thomas recorded 69 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and an interception.

CB Jorden Edmonds – Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry

Alabama was the clear front runner for Edmonds, but he has reportedly decided to slow things down with a lot of recent offers. The 6-2, 175-pound cover man now holds offers from Notre Dame, the Crimson Tide, Georgia, Ohio State, USC, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida, Florida State, and Auburn among many others. 247Sports ranks Edmonds as the No. 53 overall player and No. 5 cornerback in the 2026 class.
