Jared Wilson, IOL, Georgia

Height: 6'3
Weight: 310
DOB: N/A
Georgia

Strengths

Play Strength: Jared Wilson bulldozes defenders in the run game, generating easy displacement at the point of attack and control reps with ease.

Athleticism: Wilson isn't the greatest mover in the class, but he is a smooth mover in space and is quick off of the line of scrimmage. He reaches defenders with ease at the second level and has the change of direction to stick with rushers.

Processing: Despite his inexperience as a starter, Wilson shows good processing in sorting out stunts, blitzes, and sorting out protection schemes.

Weaknesses

Length: Wilson lacks elite length, forcing him to adjust and improve his understanding of leverage at the next level.

Hand Placement: Wilson will oftentimes lunge and fail to reset his hands after his initial strike, causing him to fall off blocks and he'll often lose against longer defenders inside.

Player Evaluation

As far as pure centers in the 2025 NFL Draft, it's easy to see why Wilson is so well thought of. The talent is evident, despite his inexperience at the position, and he's an easy projection to the pros. While he might not have the elite upside of other athletes at this position, Wilson has all the makings of being a solid to good starter at the pivot by the end of his rookie contract.

Player Comparison

Tyler Biadasz (Washington Commanders)

Much like Wilson, Biadasz doesn't have elite tools, but has grown his game into a good starter at center, thanks to an improved understanding of leverage after adjusting to the NFL.
