For the first time in several years, there is a lot to be excited about surrounding the Notre Dame offense heading into the 2025 college football season. People are going to want to talk mostly about the known commodities coming back such as Jeremiyah Love and Jaden Greathouse.
There are, however, a lot of new faces who are expected to make their impact known as well. Here are some potential offensive breakout stars heading into the 2026 season. They have a chance to turn this offense from good to excellent in one offseason.
QB CJ Carr
There is set to be a nice quarterback battle between Carr, Kenny Minchey, and Steve Angeli. It will most likely be Angeli who begins the spring in the top quarterback spot, but many believe it’ll be one of the younger quarterbacks that eventually wins out. Whether it’s Carr or Minchey, they become the top candidate to be a breakout in 2025. It’s the nature of the position.
TE Eli Raridon
It feels like most Notre Dame fans have been waiting for Raridon to break out for years. A very gifted athlete, we have seen flashes of nice ability, but injuries and opportunities have been limiting. Raridon heads into the 2025 season with 16 receptions for 141 yards and two touchdowns in his career. With Mitchell Evans off to the NFL, and the injury to Cooper Flanagan, it’s now or never for Raridon.
OT Charles Jagusah
If not for a preseason pec injury, Jagusah would have more than likely been a breakout star this past season. At 6-7 and 328 pounds, he is a massive blocker with some impressive foot speed for his size. That combination allows Jagusah to project favorably at both offensive tackle or inside at guard. He has All-American written all over him if Jagusah is able to stay healthy in 2025. Jagusah heads into the year with just two career starts.
