Chiefs' DeAndre Hopkins has powerful message regarding Patrick Mahomes one last time before seeing what's next in his career

Whether you believe that the poor performance by Patrick Mahomes was by way of the offensive line, Mahomes himself, or a mix of both, I think it's safe to say that was a side of Mahomes that we have never seen before. The Kansas City Chiefs got their tails kicked by the Philadelphia Eagles, and Patrick Mahomes, who has been in the GOAT debate as of late, played terribly.
And, that just showed that he does make mistakes. I think Chiefs fans are so used to seeing Mahomes in this certain light that view him as someone who's not human, because he rarely has bad games, and if he does it's usually not his fault, but he does have bad games. This Super Bowl was a testament that you can be the best player on earth, or even the second greatest of all time, and still mess up.
His teammates put it best after the game, as they are the ones who have oftentimes been bailed out by Mahomes' greatness, that Mahomes is only human.
“He’s human… so I think you guys see that. He’s human. They took advantage of our mistakes," first-year Chiefs wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins said after the game.
That says a lot coming from Hopkins, who has only been with the team for a short period and could be on his way to another team this offseason.
The Chiefs will bounce back from this. If there is any team that can bounce back from this, it's the Chiefs, the team that won back-to-back Super Bowls and went to another one with a chance at undisputed history. If any team can, it's the team with the best head coach in the league in Andy Read, and one of the best general managers in the league in Brett Veach.
If any team can, it's the team with one of the best defensive tackles in the league in Chris Jones and one of the best cornerbacks in the league in Trent McDuffie.
If any team can, it's the one that has Patrick Mahomes, a player still well on his way to becoming the greatest of all time — a guy who is already the greatest of this era.
