Colts WR Alec Pierce set to play a role in this year's Grand Prix of Indianapolis

Alec Pierce is coming off the best year of his three-year NFL career by leading the Colts with 824 yards and seven receiving touchdowns. The deep threat WR was finally paired with QBs who were willing to utilize his talent of getting open downfield. And it paid off for both Pierce and the Colts offense in a big way. Pierce's 22.3 yards per route run last season led the entire NFL and now enters the final year of his rookie contract, hoping to build off that success.
His on-field success seems to have landed him a rare opportunity that most people go their entire lives without experiencing. As he has been given the honor of riding in the "Fastest seat in sports" to help lead the Grand Prix of Indianapolis field to the green flag on Saturday. Pierce is already fast in his own right, with him recording an impressive 4.41 40-yard dash during his draft cycle. But he will get to experience speeds the average person couldn't even fathom when he rides in an Indy car this weekend.
