Ed Oliver's latest comments should have Bills Mafia fired up for Sunday's Wild Card matchup

Buffalo defensive tackle Ed Oliver has had an up and down season. At times, Oliver has looked like the elite disruptor on the interior of the defensive line that he was paid to be. At others, he's lost his battles, getting blown off the ball. It's been inconsistent, to say the least, but what's not up for debate is that his upside is among the best in the league.
When asked about the upcoming matchup, Oliver gave insights that share plenty about his mentality and just how locked in he is on this year's playoffs run.
"We can't worry about years past. We can't worry about the outside noise. All we can worry about is right now. And it's not about last year, it's not about the yards we gave up in big games before. It's not about none of that. It's about being your best self for 60 minutes or until the game is over. And if we do that one game at the time, the sky's the limit."
When asked about the Bills' issues on third down defense in the latter part of the season and how they can correct that to stop Denver, Oliver clearly wanted to turn the attention elsewhere.
"I don't know. What do they do to stop us? I mean, what do they do to stop us? When are we gonna stop talking about them, and start talking about us? And that's why I'm excited. That's why the playoffs are exciting, because they want all the background noise. But it's not about that. It's about 60 minutes of going to play football. I don't want to talk about them. It's not about them. It's about 60 minutes of doing your best, being your best for 60 minutes. It's not about last year's run or whatever, what have you, years past. It's not about that. I don't want to talk about that. That's not where my mind is at. My mind is on Sunday. What we've got to do, the task at hand. That's what it's all about.
Oliver seems to have his eyes solely focused on Sunday, on being his best self for 60 minutes. We know how good his best can be, and if he's at his best against Denver, it'll be a huge impact for Buffalo's defense.
