The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles officially completed their first practice sessions in New Orleans, Louisiana, the week before Super Bowl LIX.
The Eagles practiced at the New Orleans Saints facility, while the Chiefs worked at Tulane's Yulman Stadium. Both teams look rather healthy after the Super Bowl LIX bye week, with players refreshed and rejuvenated following the week off.
Chiefs HC Andy Reid confirmed that he had no new injuries to update reporters on at the onset of his media availability on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Eagles, on the other hand, had a key defensive player limited in practice due to a mystery illness that also prevented him from being available for media interviews earlier in the day.
Below you'll find a look at the first injury report of the week for each team. . .
Eagles' Wednesday Injury Report

DT Jalen Carter | Illness | LP |
RB Kenneth Gainwell | Concussion/Knee | LP |
DE Brandon Graham | Elbow | LP |
WR DeVonta Smith | Hamstring | LP |
LB Zack Baun | Groin | FP |
WR Britain Covey | Neck | FP |
OL Landon Dickerson | Knee | FP |
TE Dallas Goedert | Ankle | FP |
C Cam Jurgens | Back | FP |
TE C.J. Uzomah | Abdomen | FP |

Observations:
- While Carter being limited practice due to illness is significant, he still has four more days to get healthy for Super Bowl LIX.
- Cam Jurgens and Landon Dickerson are both full participants in practice, putting the Eagles' O-Line at full strength for Sunday.
- Brandon Graham is attempting to return from injured reserve after a torn triceps. We'll a limited participation practice bodes well for his ability to be activated and play.
- Keep an eye on Smith's practice status this week. The name of his game is speed, and he has traditionally been a big problem for the Chiefs' defense.
Chiefs' Wednesday Injury Report
| Player | Injury | Tuesday |
|---|---|---|
QB Patrick Mahomes | Ankle | FP |
RT Jawaan Taylor | Knee | FP |
