The Seattle Seahawks fell short of their goal of making the NFC playoffs even though they finished with a 10-7 record.
Now, they enter the offseason to improve their roster and ensure they don't get left out of the big dance again next season. In a new A to Z Sports mock draft, the Seahawks land a dynamic weapon that might be the final puzzle piece to complete their receiving core.
Seahawks land Michigan TE Colston Loveland in a new mock draft

"The Seahawks are a frustrating team to figure out. The defense improved in the second half of the season, revealing few holes on that side of the ball. General Manager Jon Schneider has openly said he won't draft a guard in the first round, and the team has plenty of talent to go around.
However, I do think they can get more dynamic at the tight end position to give the offense some more flexibility and help out their struggling run game. Colston Loveland helps open up their passing game and gives them another option to draw attention away from DK Metcalf."
– New A to Z Sports mock draft
2024 was a rough year overall for other Michigan Wolverines, especially on the offensive side of the ball. But even with the team's terrible quarterback situation, Loveland still found a way to make an impact. He finished the year with a career-high 56 receptions and five touchdowns, as well as having the second-most yards of his career with 582. Not to mention, he did it all in 10 games, the least amount he had ever played in a season during his three-year college career.
Loveland would join a solid list of pass catchers in Seattle with wide receivers DK Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba and would form a solid tight end duo with Noah Fant. Geno Smith isn't the long-term answer at quarterback for the Seahawks, but right now, he is the best option available, so they might as well give him the best recipe for success they possibly can. Drafting Loveland would be the Seahawks doing just that and building a solid group of young pass catchers for whoever the young QB of the future ends up being.
