It was a big week on the ground for the Indianapolis Colts, who used a franchise record in team rushing yards in a single game to defeat their AFC South rivals, the Tennessee Titans, in Week 16.
Leading the charge was Colts star running back Jonathan Taylor, who had his best game of the season and is now being rewarded by the NFL.
NFL names Colts RB Jonathan Taylor AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Taylor finished Week 16 with a league-high 218 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries. His average of 7.5 yards per attempt was his second-highest in a game this season. He is only trailing his 103 yards with 12 carries performance from the team's Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers, where he averaged 8.6 yards per carry.
Taylor is now up to 1,129 yards on the season, which is the eighth most in the NFL. What makes it even more impressive is that every player above him has played in 15 games this season, while Taylor has only played in 12. His yards per game average of 94.1 is third in the NFL, trailing Derrick Henry and Saquon Barkley. And before you assume that his 218 yards in Week 16 are inflating his ranking here, he was already third in the NFL in yards per game entering Week 16 with 82.8 yards.

The Indianapolis Colts have a lot to like with how their 2024 NFL Draft class has performed so far this season. One of the brightest spots from the class early in the season was the play from their fifth-round pick, Jaylon Carlies, at linebacker. Sadly, Carlies suffered a lower leg injury during the team's Week 7 […]
