The Green Bay Packers have already played two games this season with alternate uniforms. In Week 7, the team beat the Houston Texans 24-22 with the new all-whites. In Week 9, it used the 50s green and gold alternates in a 24-14 loss to the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field.
Based on a social media post, the Packers might want to use the luck the all-whites brought once again. It seems like they are considering the possibility of wearing the alternates in Seattle to face the Seahawks on Sunday Night Football this week.
Curiously, the Packers have already worn all-white uniforms in Seattle back in 2018 (the Color Rush). The difference is at that time, though, Green Bay used yellow helmets. Now, the helmets are white as well.
White uniforms and helmets had been worn several times throughout Packers history, until the 1950s.
Since 2018, the NFL has allowed teams to wear alternates three times in a season — the rule includes two different alternates to be worn during the same season.
