The Houston Texans offense has struggled to find much rhythm or their identity, for that matter, during the second half of the season.

Having to play without Nico Collins has hurt them, but losing Stefon Diggs for the season has made it apparent that they need to find a reliable second option to Collins for the long run.

The newest A to Z Sports mock draft does just that, with the Texans reuniting Stroud with a dynamic weapon from his time at Ohio State.

Texans land Ohio State WR Emeka Egbuka in latest mock draft

"I'm switching it up for Houston this time after addressing the offensive line in my previous mocks. The Texans' wide receiver, a once-promising unit, has fallen off as the season has gone on. Stefon Diggs suffered a season-ending injury and the whole unit has battled injuries and inconsistent play. To make matters worse, Diggs and Robert Woods are pending free agents.

Pair Stroud with a high-floor target he already has tremendous chemistry with Emeka Egbuka to take some of the attention away from Nico Collins.

Latest A to Z Sports NFL mock draft

The Texans reunited Stroud with Emeka Egbuka in a new mock draft. The two spent two seasons together in 2021 and 2022, which included the best year of Egbuka's career in 2022. During their final year together, Egbuka set his career high with 74 receptions, 1,151 yards, and ten touchdowns.

Stroud was by far the best QB Egbuka has played with, and their already built-in chemistry would help them hopefully pick up right where they left off in 2022. Egbuka has also shown the ability to be a great number two option, with him playing with Marvin Harrison Jr. and now Jeremiah Smith. So he should have no issue playing second fiddle to Collins with the Texans.
