You'll often here about teams "protecting their house," and Bills Mafia definitely does that. It's a hostile environment for visiting teams to come play, especially in snowy elements. The house was rocking on Sunday Night Football, with plenty of snowballs being launched into the air in celebration.
One Bills fan, though, appeared to take the snowball idea one step too far.
There's defending home field, and then there's trying to impact play. One fan decided to throw a snowball, seemingly in an attempt to disrupt 49ers' kicker Jake Moody's field goal attempt.
To be fair, trying to knock a field goal kick out of the air with a snowball would be about as effective as a feather stopping a car on the freeway, but the effort was there nonetheless. Moody didn't need much help missing field goals last night, as the kicker struggled mightily in the snowy conditions, making only one of three field goal attempts, including leaving one well short.
The Bills had themselves a terrific evening, drubbing the 49ers to the tune of a 35-10 victory, with Josh Allen making one of the most ridiculous plays you'll ever see on his way to a record-setting performance. It was the sixth game in a row that the Bills have scored at least 30 points, winning seven games in a row, and clinching the AFC East on December 1st in the process.
Now, all eyes are on chasing down the No. 1 seed in the AFC, which is currently held by the 11-1 Kansas City Chiefs, who the Bills beat two weeks ago. If the Chiefs stumble, the Bills will be waiting in the wings to capitalize. Like it has been in recent years, the Bills and the Chiefs are firmly entrenched in competition with one another heading towards the playoffs, with another playoff meeting well within the range of possible outcomes.
