The Texas-Oklahoma game generated an averaged 3.9 rating with 7.6 million viewers on ABC, according to Sports Media Watch. It was the second-most watched Texas-OU game since 2009 and fourth-most watched ever.
The Texas-OU game landed in the top 10 of most watched games for the 2024 season. Seven of the top 10 games have featured at least one SEC team.

Bank on Saturday’s game between No. 5 Georgia (5-1, 3-1 SEC) and No. 1 Texas (6-0, 2-0) landing in the top 10, if not outright challenging for the most watched of the season to this point.
Texas-Michigan had 9.19 million viewers in week two. Texas-OU would be No. 2 on the Horns’ list of most-watched games. Colorado State had 1.84 million viewers while UTSA grabbed 1.48 million. Games against Louisiana-Monroe (ESPN+) and Mississippi State (SEC Network) were on networks that do not have their ratings published.
