From here on out, No. 3 Texas will get key TV windows and huge television audiences as everybody wants to see if the Longhorns can indeed win the SEC.

The Longhorns draw the 11 a.m. slot for a second straight week but the No. 2 announcer team with Joe Tessitore and Jesse Palmer.

ABC is clearly banking on Texas bringing in huge audiences in key TV windows down the home stretch this season.

Next week’s home game against Kentucky is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on ABC. If Texas and Texas A&M continue to take care of business, the Longhorns and Aggies should meet in primetime on Nov. 30, most likely also on ABC.

Last week’s Florida-Texas game drew an average of 3.9 million viewers, which was the fourth-most watched UT game this season. The Arkansas and Kentucky games may post similar numbers, but the A&M game should draw monster eyeballs.

Tessitore and Palmer are just hoping for a close game this weekend and not a blowout, as much as Texas fans would love to see that. The broadcast crew was dipping into its filler material just after halftime last week when the Horns went up 42-0.

Tessitore, who doubles as the announcer for WWE, brought on the Undertaker for an interview during the third quarter. Undertaker, aka Mark Calaway, is a longtime UT fan and lives in Austin.
