The Buckeyes have a National Championship in their sights this year. They are returning several starters from a year ago and added some key players through the transfer portal, including former Kansas State quarterback Will Howard. New offensive coordinator Chip Kelly should take the Buckeye's offense to the next level.
Everybody well knows Akron is in for a thrashing in this game. The Zips are 7-47 over the course of their last five seasons, and their outlook for 2024 is pretty bleak. Only one or two wins are likely, with three to five being the absolute best-case scenario.
