The Green Bay Packers escaped on Sunday with a 27-24 overtime win over the New England Patriots.
Green Bay's win, which improved the team's record to 3-1, didn't stop a Patriots defender from talking a little trash after the game.
Patriots defensive back Jack Jones picked off Rodgers in the second half on Sunday and returned it 40 yards for a touchdown.
After the game, Jones told reporters that he felt it was "disrespectful" to throw an out route against him.
I get it. That was a cool moment for the rookie out of Arizona State.
But his team lost the game. And when you lose, you don't get to talk trash. Because that pick-six, in the end, didn't matter. It was just another play in the box score and it didn't lead to the Patriots getting a win.
Jones looks like he's going to be a good player in the NFL. But football has a way of humbling every player on the field at some point. And I'm sure he'll be no exception.
