The Green Bay Packers' 27-22 loss to the New York Giants in London on Sunday was disappointing to put it lightly.

Green Bay is now 3-2 on the season with the loss.

But if anyone listened to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently, they would've known this was coming.

Despite Green Bay's 3-1 start to the season, Rodgers warned fans that the way the Packers were winning games wasn't sustainable (the defense basically doing all the heavy lifting).

"This way of winning, I don't think, is sustainable because it puts too much pressure on our defense," said Rodgers after the Packers' overtime win against the Patriots last week. "And obviously, I've got to play better and will play better."

Rodgers expounded on his comments while speaking with reporters in London before the game against the Giants.

“Comments get taken out of context, and then they get posted as if that was the entire quote,” said Rodgers. “That was not the quote. The quote was talking about a certain way of playing. I was referring to the fact that we haven’t put together a four-quarter game. I don’t think playing half a game well is sustainable to win football games in this league every single week.”

Regardless of how Rodgers' intended for his comments to be interpreted, he's right that Green Bay's way of winning isn't sustainable.

If the Packers are going to get back to the playoffs, the offense is going to have to play at a much higher level. Because as of right now, this isn't a playoff team.

And after Sunday's loss to New York, it's hard to imagine this offense getting better anytime soon.

It's a tough realization for Green Bay fans, but Rodgers tried to warn everyone.
