Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is expecting a pivotal 2024 season from Rashod Bateman.

"I think Rashod Bateman is going to take a big step," Harbaugh said during a press conference at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine. "Rashod is going to get opportunities this year. He ran routes really well, he worked super hard. He was healthy for the first time, even as the year went on, he got healthier, and you can see it in his play.

"The ball got to him, when it did, he made some great plays."

Statistically, Bateman did not have his best year in the 2023 season, hauling in 32 passes for 367 receiving yards and one touchdown catch. Lamar Jackson threw more interceptions (three) than touchdown passes (one) when targeting the former Minnesota standout.

Bateman did put together multiple promising performances over the latter half of the season. For one, he recorded season highs in both receptions (four) and receiving yards (54) in Baltimore’s home win over the Miami Dolphins.

Harbaugh added on Tuesday that "the ball is going to get to" Bateman "a lot more" this year, which sure would then help the wideout's chances of orchestrating a long-awaited breakout campaign with the Ravens.
