It's more than safe to say the Houston Texans have a bright future ahead of them. They went from a three-win team to winning a playoff game this season, and that was with a rookie quarterback, a rookie head coach, and a rookie offensive coordinator.
So, it's clear things are destined to only get better. And, the best part is, the fans feel that way too, especially fans that are notable, like the big celebrities inside the city.
One of those guys is Alex Bregman, who is a Houston legend after winning two World Series Championships with the Houston Astros in the last few years. He will be revered and loved in the city for eternity. And he happens to support the other local teams as well.
Bregman is very excited about what the Texans are doing.
"It was a great year," Houston Astros legend said. "It was awesome to see how they got this whole city fired up. I'm super excited for the future. I know from talking with C.J. that they're not satisfied. They want to be even better next year, so, looking forward to it."
When the other professional sports teams notice what you're doing, it's good, especially when you factor in the Astros players know what it takes to win championships. Plus, they did it very similarly, where all the talent was homegrown and developed. That's the Texans right now.
Sure, they got beat pretty handily by the Ravens in the playoffs, but this team is a few players away from being a Super Bowl contender. Guys like Bregman see that, too.
