FOXBOROUGH, Mass – This past Saturday, Texas and Alabama faced off against one another in a non-conference matchup. And that game was being watched closely by two members of the New England Patriots, who had something on the line.
Mac Jones, who played at Alabama, and Brenden Schooler, who competed at Texas, decided to have a little bit of fun during the game.
"It was just a t-shirt bet," Schooler explained. "I walked into the offensive room just to pass through real quick and he's like you want to bet this week."
Texas was able to get the better of Alabama, winning 34-24. And Schooler wasted no time in claiming his prize.
"So I brought the shirt in today and he was a good sport about it," Schooler said. "He wore it and I would've done the same thing at that loss."
And while he said he wasn't going to be "rubbing it in his face too hard," Schooler couldn't help himself, sharing a photo of Jones in the Texas shirt on his Instagram story.

"I loved it," Schooler said when asked about what it felt like to see Jones in that Texas shirt. "It's all a fun game."
The two were able to catch some of the game together, linking up at the team hotel for the start of the second half.
"I was happy for my boys," Schooler said about Texas' win. "I know a lot of those guys still so it was awesome to see them go out there and do their think and represent, and allow me to talk trash too. So it was fun."
