Bill Belichick made a controversial move in Sunday's devastating loss to the Dallas Cowboys, electing to bench Mac Jones and put in Bailey Zappe during the third quarter.

And his answer very Belichick-esque, not giving much away.

"I don't think there was any point leaving him in the game," he said in his postgame press conference

Reporters tried to get him to open up more about the decision, but he continued to repeat that same answer. The only thing he did give away was that the plan is for Jones to remain the starter going forward.

Jones was benched after throwing two interceptions and fumbling. Two of those turnovers resulted in touchdowns for the Cowboys.

This was the worst loss for Bill Belichick in his 29-years as head coach.

And it is going to be a tough week in that locker room, with the team forced to find a way to regain their confidence and find a way to get back on track.

That starts with Jones.
