The New England Patriots offensive line is decimated. There are injuries across the board on one of the most important units on a roster. Needless to say, things aren't looking good.
Mac Jones and the offense will need all the help they can get as they are taking on Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins who were red hot in week 1 in which their QB threw for over 400 yards.
Jones had an opportunity against the Eagles to shock the world and pull off an upset, but couldn't get the job done late in the game. He has to be happy with the latest development from Jeremy Fowler.
It's been reported that OG Michael Onwenu is trending towards playing Sunday. Barring any big surprise, a huge win for the team that has been easing him back from an ankle injury.
Onwenu was on PUP for training camp and the team and their fans have been eagerly anticipating his return, hoping to bolster a depleted offensive line. The talented guard didn't play last week but was trending in the right direction.
Getting back a key member of the offensive line will go a long way for the Patriots in their attempt to bounce back and remain competitive in the division. Fingers crossed he can continue his trajectory, they could desperately use his services tomorrow.
Friday’s injury report for Patriots vs. Dolphins, Week 2
At least the offensive line got a bit of good news.
