Jaire Alexander will miss his fifth game in a row. After being listed as questionable to face the New York Giants on Monday night, the All-Pro cornerback has been downgraded to out by the Green Bay Packers because of a shoulder injury.

Earlier this week, Jaire said he doesn't intend to return to the field while he isn't fully healthy.

Alexander will miss his eighth game in 2023. He had stayed out for three games early in the season because of a back injury.

Jaire Alexander suffered this shoulder injury during the win over the Los Angeles Rams.

Initially, the Packers decided they wouldn't place Alexander on injured reserve, expecting that he would miss three games at most. However, he's been out since.

Packers options

Over the last month, the Packers have played with Carrington Valentine, Corey Ballentine, and Keisean Nixon starting at cornerback.

For Monday night, the group can have an additional reinforcement. Third-year cornerback Eric Stokes practiced the entire week and has a chance to be activated to the 53-man roster and finally returned.

Stokes has been officially listed as questionable. He hasn't played any defensive snaps this year. He appeared in one game, playing only four special teams snaps before hurting his hamstring.

Injury report

Besides Jaire Alexander, wide receiver Christian Watson has also been ruled out because of a hamstring injury. Linebacker Quay Walker, with a shoulder injury, is doubtful.

Running back Aaron Jones (knee) and safety Darnell Savage (chest) are questionable.
