All the stars are coming out to Westfield, Indiana, this year.

The Pivot Podcast, hosted by former NFL players Fred Taylor, Ryan Clark, and Channing Crowder, came out to Westfield, Indiana, to catch up with Indianapolis Colts QB Anthony Richardson for their newest episode.

And it's now clear that Richardson's methods of leading the offense has similarities to Colts legend Peyton Manning.

Richardson shared on the episode that as a young athlete, he looked up to NFL legend Tom Brady, but he also shared that he got advice from Peyton Manning on how to lead an NFL offense when he attended the Manning QB academy.

"You gotta be an ass hole sometimes. Your teammates don't want to do something? Forget all that It ain't about you it's about the team. You gotta be better, the team gotta be better. And if I got to get on your ass to go run your route the right way so we can go win the game, then I'm going to do that. It's being a leader regardless how that comes off it can come off nice, mean or sentimental it don't really matter its just being a leader."

This type of leadership shows you just how much Richardson wants to win. It's been shared over and over that Richardson tends to be more of a quiet leader who leads by example in the locker room. But he is also capable of stepping on the field and being the loud voice that helps his offense do their jobs effectively. Colts fans probably aren't shocked to hear Peyton gave Richardson this advice. During his playing days, we got multiple incredible sound bites of Manning getting on teammates and asking them to be better. I mean, who could ever forget Manning and Colts legend Jeff Saturday getting into a heated discussion on the sideline?

Indianapolis Colts defensive end Laiatu Latu (97) walks across the field during the first day of the Indianapolis Colts’ training camp Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Grand Park Sports Complex in Westfield.

Colts rookie Laiatu Latu is ready to be unleashed

The Indianapolis Colts had their pick of any defensive player in the 2024 NFL Draft and chose to use the 15th pick in the first round on UCLA edge rusher Laiatu Latu.  So far, he is certainly living up to that selection, and It seems that with each training camp practice, Latu becomes more dominant.  […]
