A.J. Brown sent the internet into a frenzy on Thursday after he spontaneously changed his profile picture to one of New England Patriots legend Tom Brady.
People immediately started speculating that he was possibly sending a message, even showing interest in joining the Patriots. But after seeing the reaction, the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver immediately defended his actions.
"TB12 is my favorite player ever.
I watch the dynasty and it brought back some memories from my childhood.
Go look up what he did in 2015 when he was doubted/ disrespected.

And he didn't stop there. One person responded to the post, writing, "Cmon AJ you smart enough to know how the internet works nowadays. You had to know the way this would be taken. You had to know that."
And Brown fired back: "I don’t live by the world rules . He’s retired and is the best person to touch a football. It’s not that serious"
This comes after Brady posted a video on Instagram, showing how he has stayed in shape. And it only added fuel to his recent comments that he would consider a return to the NFL.
So it was certainly interesting timing for all of this. But as of now, Brown is staying with the Eagles.
However, anything is possible.
