New England Patriots rookie cornerback Isaiah Bolden took to Twitter/X to share his first message since suffering a terrifying injury on Saturday night's preseason game versus the Green Bay Packers.
Bolden's message was simple and to the point. Eleven words were all it took for the rookie to turn the page following his release from the hospital. Bolden not making a big deal out of it and immediately saying he's excited to be back was the powerful message fans were hoping for.
On Saturday, the Patriots preseason game was called off following Bolden's injury. After colliding with teammate Calvin Munson, Bolden remained on the ground with medical personnel immediately being called over. He was ultimately loaded onto a stretch and carted off.
After that, the rookie cornerback was taken to Aurora Bay Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. On Sunday morning, the Patriots announced Bolden has since been released and that he will fly home with the team.
The Patriots also announced they'd be canceling the upcoming week's joint practices with the Tennessee Titans.
Saturday's game was the first NFL game suspended since Damar Hamlin's Monday Night Football incident in January. Bolden was drafted in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft out of Jackson State.
