FOXBORO, Mass. — After starting the week with a few injury scares, the New England Patriots opted for a lighter practice on Tuesday.
The pads came off and the Patriots were able to focus on improving rather than the excitement of "real football" beginning, which resulted in some rough play and injuries.
Among the injuries yesterday was Cole Strange, who went down with a leg injury. However the Boston Globe reported that it is "not serious" and he was present at practice. But, he spent the day on the conditioning field.
On the other side, Jalen Hurd, Brad Hawkins, and Chasen Hines were absent, with all three having sustained injuries on Monday.
Here’s what else I saw from Tuesday's training camp session:
-Highlight play: Mac Jones located DeVante Parker along the sideline, with Parker beating Christian Gonzalez and getting two feet down.
– Jones top target in the end zone has been Hunter Henry.
-Matthew Judon and Rhamondre Stevenson returned to team drills after spending Monday on the conditioning fields.
-With Strange, Trent Brown, and Mike Onwenu limited or absent from practice, Riley Reiff (LT), rookie Antonio Mafi (LG), David Andrews (C), Bill Murray (RG), Conor McDermott (RT) lined up on the offensive line.
-Jack Jones, Marcus Jones, Myles Bryant, and Mack Wilson all had pass breakups on Tuesday.
-When Jones broke up a pass intended for Parker, it appeared he hurt his wrist, with the team trainers checking it out.
-Trace McSorley finished 11s on a bad note, with Joshuah Bledsoe picking off a pass that was thrown behind the intended receiver (either J.J. Taylor or Malik Cunningham).
– Quarterback Stats
| Quarterbacks | 11v11s | 7v7s | Total |
