FOXBORO, Mass. — On Wednesday, there was some clear trash talking going on between the offense and the defense.
And New England Patriots captain Ja'Whaun Bentley weighed in on who is the best on the team following practice.
"Best trash-talker other than me, (Jabrill Peppers) up there. Pep up there for sure," Bentley said. "That's the beauty in the game when you're going against each other, to kind of get in their head a little bit and just figure out what makes them tick. That's always fun. A little sauce to the game.'
The offense has a strong day, with the wide receivers letting the defense hear it at certain points. Yet, Bentley didn't name a receiver when asked about who the best trash-talker was on the offense.
"Honestly I don't like none of the guys as far as trash talking, but I think Mac does a good job. A solid job for sure. I don't know if it works that much, but yeah, shout out to him," Bentley said. "He's working on it."
The trash talking is something the players all enjoy, with it being a part of football and encouraging even more competition.
"A little trash talk. I feel like that's the beauty of the game," Bentley said. "But at the end of the day, we all come together at the end and form what we trying to form. Form our identity."
